Inclusive Early Learning Center (IELC)

“A special place for special children.”

PdN Children’s Inclusive Early Learning Center is a learning center operation licensed by Texas Health & Human Services (HHS) and accredited with a Maximum Four Star rating by Texas Rising Star. The Inclusive Early Learning Center serves all children, with or without disability, in an inclusive environment. We believe that all children benefit from interactions with others who are different from themselves. Through working and playing in a setting in which each child is valued for his or her strengths, children learn to value different ideas, cultures, and people regardless of their abilities.

OUR PROGRAM

Our program provides many opportunities for social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language growth. IELC teachers are dedicated to providing our children the best quality care and presenting them with fun ways of learning that target all kinds of learners. PRE-KINDERGARTEN (Four-year-olds)

The IELC is delighted to provide full-day Pre-K for children four years of age by September 1st. Affording your child an additional year with PdN Children’s IELC before having to transition to public school is an unmatched advantage. Our Pre-K program is designed to prepare our children with all the skills and knowledge necessary for Kindergarten while offering a warm environment of dedicated teachers and caregivers. Pre-K can be an overwhelming experience at a huge public school for any little one (not to mention overwhelming to you as a parent). PdN Children’s IELC provides the perfect combination of small classroom settings, convenient childcare hours without the worry of transportation to and from school, and an extended full-day Pre-K curriculum.

PdN Children’s IELC Pre-K Program makes use of Scholastic’s Big Day curriculum as its foundation. Grounded in integrated instruction that adapts to a child’s needs, Scholastic’s Big Day for PreK provides children with intentional and engaging learning opportunities to build the necessary foundations in all subject areas. This curriculum develops the early learning skills and experiences critical for children’s future success in Kindergarten.

For all classrooms, the equipment has been carefully selected for the specified age groups to achieve their developmental goals. Our classrooms are set up with a variety of interest centers to stimulate curiosity and imagination. There are teacher-led as well as child-led activities. Lastly, a good balance of quiet and active play both in and outdoors is provided.

SCHOOL AGED PROGRAMS (5-13 years)

PdN Children’s IELC provides before and after school care for children ages 5 through 13 years old. Our program accommodates children to attend our center during school breaks (ex. spring break, some holidays, winter break, school closures, or in-service days). Our after-school teachers assist children with their homework and offer fun activities to keep children engaged while in our care.

Full daycare is offered for children enrolled in virtual learning who do not attend the school campus. Our teachers help guide the students throughout their virtual school day and encourage them to remain focused and on task. Small interactive breaks are scheduled to help the students re-energize..

Summer Camp is a fun-filled experience for school-aged children during the summer months. Our teachers ensure all summer camp activities are varied to attract children’s interest. Summer Camp days are loaded with a wide range of fun projects. Please inquire about Summer Camp availability with ample time before the summer months to ensure your child’s place is secured.
