Yes, like gender, ethnicity, and other traits, disability is one of many natural characteristics of being human! What can happen when we deconstruct disability, use People First Language, and focus on people’s strengths and abilities? Our attitudes drive our actions, and awesome change is possible when we think and talk differently!

The mission of the Paso del Norte Children’s Development Center is to help children with disabilities reach their fullest potential by providing comprehensive therapeutic, education, and childcare services. Toward that end, we served 5,998 clients in 2014. The Center is organized into three service departments, each providing a different type of service: Early Childhood Intervention, El Papalote Inclusive Child Development Center, and the Community Resource Center. Management of all Center operations is the responsibility of the director and a small team of managers that handle office management, supplies, maintenance, and housekeeping, fiscal, and human resource functions.
